Garissa – Madogashi Road (C81)

The works comprised of light grading works and shaping of the road carriageway to suitable cross section from Garissa to Madogashi. The works also included clearing off debris from culvert inlets and outlets.

These works are similar to those envisaged in the road rehabilitation and maintenance works in that culverts will have to be regularly cleared off obstructions to ensure that they work effectively. Similarly by shaping the road carriageway to suitable cross section will ensure that the water drains off the carriageway minimizing pounding and getting rid of corrugation and ruts ensuring a smoother riding surface.
